Robin
Schlochtermeier is an award-nominated composer for film, promos and TV
based in Bristol, UK. Robin
enjoys ongoing collaborative relationships with a handful of very
talented young filmmakers including Will
McGregor,
director of the acclaimed and multiple-award winning "Who's Afraid of
the Watersprite?" and in-house director at The Mill production house in
London, and fellow Bristol film student George
Purves. Robin has also been sought out as a musical consultant for a music theory feature on the BBC One Show and Friend Request Pending, a short film by Chris Foggin starring Dame Judi Dench. Originally
a violinist and later a rock guitarist and singer, Robin is equally
comfortable in pop styles as in classic symphonic scoring. His ear for
orchestration has even led him to orchestral production work on seven
tracks of an upcoming fusion album for Bristol drum and bass legend
Roni Size. When not working in his beloved studio, Robin can often be found in open green spaces gaining inspiration from trees, the earth and all the beautiful creatures on it. |
